The LA Kings with a win they will move into a 3rd place tie in the Pacific Division of the Western Conference.
On Thursday November 4th, the Kings defeated the reigning champions Penguins in overtime. This team is still riddled with injuries at key positions. For example one if these positions is one of their best players, goalie Jonathan Quick. Their backup goalie Peter Budaj seems to finally gaining his momentum and getting in a rhythm.
The LA Kings have had other players playing injured or recovering from injuries as well. After their nice win on Friday they look to be getting back on track and heading in the right direction. This LA Kings team may not be so hot right because of injuries, yet great teams find a way to win.
Good news is it is early in the season. Then when the whole team is healthy they will be a force to be reckoned with in the NHL.
Tonight they will be taking on their division rivals the Calgary Flames and with a victory they will move into 3a rd place tie with the Ducks in the Pacific Division. This Kings team when healthy are a playoff team and Stanley Cup contender.
The LA Kings will be hosting the Flames. This should be an exciting game to watch as the Kings are coming off a thrilling win from Thursday night at home.
All the LA Kings need to do to win other than moving the puck is they need to play defense.
On defense they need to make sure the puck doesn’t stay on their side of the rink very long. The LA Kings need to hold possession of the puck on the Flames side of the rink, allowing them more shot attempts to score goals.
By doing this they will also prevent goals from being scored on them. They need to have a defense to prevent the counterattack as well.
Finally Peter Budaj needs to be excellent if the Kings are going to win this games.
