Kessel pots pair as Leafs go 4-0

Phil Kessel scored twice, including an overtime winner on the power play, as the undefeated Toronto Maple Leafs spoiled the New York Rangers' home opener with a 4-3 victory Friday night.
Clarke MacArthur scored for the fourth straight game for Toronto, which bounced back from a blown third-period lead.
Just 20 seconds after Rangers defenceman Marc Staal went off for interference, Kessel scored his second goal of the game at 3:08 of overtime.
Toronto used a dominant second period to grab a 3-1 lead, but the Rangers got two goals from Brian Boyle in the third to force overtime and salvage a point.
MacArthur, who signed with Toronto as a free agent during the off-season, became the first player to score in his first four games with the Maple Leafs. His fifth goal of the season started a spurt of three Toronto tallies in a span of 5:46 early in the second that turned a 1-0 deficit into a 3-1 lead.
Mike Komisarek and Kessel also scored in the second, in which Toronto held a 14-5 shots advantage.
In Pittsburgh, Alex Goligoski's power-play goal in overtime gave the Pittsburgh Penguins their first win at Consol Energy Center, 3-2 over the New York Islanders on Friday night.
Goligoski's shot just under the crossbar from the left circle off a rebound of Evgeni Malkin's shot beat goalie Rick DiPietro, giving Pittsburgh its first power-play goal of the game after seven tries.
Eric Tangradi scored his first career goal and Mike Rupp also scored for the Penguins, who were 0-3 at their new home.
Josh Bailey and Radek Martinek scored and Blake Comeau had two assists for New York, which has lost nine consecutive games in Pittsburgh.
