Johnny Oduya rejoins Blackhawks after trade from Dallas

Johnny Oduya is heading back to Chicago.
The Dallas Stars reportedly agreed to trade the veteran defenseman to the Blackhawks on Tuesday night in exchange for Mark McNeill and a conditional fourth-round pick. Oduya played for the 'Hawks from 2011-2015 and won two Stanley Cups with the franchise.
The 35-year-old defenseman is on an expiring deal and will provide Chicago with some needed defensive depth down the stretch as it looks to put together another deep playoff run. The Blackhawks currently trail the Wild by just three points for the top spot in the Western Conference.
In 37 games this season, Oduya has just seven points (1+6) but is a solid, reliable depth defender on the back end.
As for the Stars, they continue to be active sellers in the trade market prior to the NHL's deadline on Wednesday. They previously dealt defenseman Jordie Benn to the Canadiens on Monday night.
