Injury-plagued Blue Jackets place Letestu, Wisniewski on IR

The Columbus Blue Jackets have placed center Mark Letestu and defenseman James Wisniewski on injured reserve and recalled centers Sean Collins and Brian Gibbons from their American Hockey League affiliate in Springfield, Massachusetts.

Letestu, who has three goals and two assists in nine games, has a groin injury and is expected to miss two to four weeks.

Wisniewski, with three assists in nine games, has a broken finger (1-2 weeks).

The Blue Jackets are also without goaltender Sergei Bobrovsky (broken finger, back in 1-2 weeks), forwards Nathan Horton (degenerative back, indefinite), Brandon Dubinsky (abdominal surgery, 2-3 weeks), Artem Anisimov (concussion, day to day), Boone Jenner (broken hand, 1-2 weeks), Matt Calvert (upper body, later this week) and Nick Foligno (neck, later this week).
