Injured Jaden Schwartz out of junior hockey worlds

Canadian forward Jaden Schwartz will miss the rest of the World Junior Hockey Championship tournament because of an ankle injury.

Schwartz was hurt in a 7-2 win over the Czech Republic on Tuesday. He had a goal and two assists in two tournament games.

Schwartz plays for Colorado College and was selected 14th overall by St. Louis in the NHL draft in June.

Canada is 3-0 and closes the preliminary round against Sweden on Friday. A win would give the Canadians the top spot in Group B and an automatic berth in the semifinals Monday.
