Flyers' Giroux receives shaving cream pie to face for birthday
Philadelphia Flyers captain Claude Giroux has a bit of facial hair, but fellow forward Michael Raffl made certain he received plenty of shaving cream nonetheless.
While coach Dave Hakstol addressed the team following Tuesday's practice, Raffl surprised Giroux with a shaving cream pie to the face. Raffl delivered the "present" on behalf of the team to Giroux, who celebrated his 28th birthday on Tuesday.

The rest of the Flyers showed their appreciation with a stick tap on the ice as Giroux skated away with presumably a smile underneath the mess on his face.
The captain certainly could use a bit of levity as he has just one goal and one assist in his last 10 games. Giroux, however, still leads Philadelphia with 12 tallies and 30 points.

The mood of the Flyers (18-15-7) has changed recently, as they followed up a fruitless three-game road trip by winning three straight contests heading into Wednesday's tilt with the host Boston Bruins (21-15-5).
