Ference erases playoff beard

Published Jun. 26, 2013 1:00 a.m. ET

One of the greatest traditions in hockey is the growth of the playoff beard, but once the playoffs are over, the razors come out and the beards tend not to last much longer.

So it was not remarkable that, less than 24 hours after his team’s crushing loss to Chicago in Game 6 of the Stanley Cup Finals, Boston Bruins defenseman Andrew Ference had already rid himself of his playoff bristles.

What was noteworthy, however, was how he did it — with an eraser and a sneeze.

Sound confusing? Just check out this Vine video Ference posted to his 61,000 Twitter followers Tuesday afternoon.
