The Bruins got a rousing sendoff from Boston fans before boarding a plane for Chicago to meet the Blackhawks in the Stanley Cup finals.

About 1,000 fans filled the concourse at the TD Garden in their black and gold shirts, waving signs and chanting ''We want the Cup!''

The Bruins walked by after practice in their suits and ties, giving fans high-fives and posing for pictures. Players told reporters afterward that they aren't expecting such a warm welcome in Chicago.

The Bruins will play the Blackhawks in the best-of-seven Stanley Cup finals for a chance at their second NHL title in three years. The series begins Wednesday night. Game 3 is in Boston next Monday.
