Ennis scores 2 in Sabres' rout of Adler Mannheim

Tyler Ennis scored two goals for the Buffalo Sabres, who finished their exhibition season with an 8-3 victory over German league leader Adler Mannheim on Tuesday.

Ennis scored twice in the first period and Luke Adam added a power-play goal in the frame to put Buffalo ahead 3-0. Brad Boyes, Christian Ehrhoff and Thomas Vanek had goals in the second, and Jason Pominville and Ville Leino scored in the third to complete the rout.

Yannic Seidenberg and Jaime Sifers netted goals for Mannheim, which played for the third time in five days.

The Sabres will open the regular season against the Anaheim Ducks in Helsinki, Finland.
