Ducks' Perry uses header to score
Corey Perry certainly has his head in the game.
The Anaheim winger has been on a scoring rampage as of late, recording five goals in the past five games, but he really outdid himself against the Canucks. In a play that should award Perry the goal and the assist, the Duck played the puck off of his head before settling it down and slapping it past Roberto Luongo with his stick.
As the Ducks got things going in the Vancouver end, Francois Beauchemin fired off a shot near the blue line that ended up deflecting off a Canuck, eventually hitting Luongo near the shoulder. The goaltender couldn’t corral the shot, however, allowing Perry to come away with the play of the night.
With the puck bouncing off of the goalie, Perry swiftly swooped into position, played the puck off the top of his helmet, headed it toward the crease and slid it past Luongo with an easy flick of the wrist.
