Anaheim Ducks forward Corey Perry was helped off the ice by a trainer midway through the first period Friday night after a hit from Minnesota Wild defenseman Keith Ballard.
Perry was unable to put weight on his left leg after Ballard dipped his shoulder and hit Perry low along the boards. Perry, Anaheim's leading goal scorer, flipped in the air before landing hard on the ice.
No penalty was called on the hit, but minutes later, Anaheim center Nate Thompson fought Ballard.
