Ducks' Calder clears waivers, goes to minors

Left wing Kyle Calder has cleared waivers and been assigned to the Anaheim Ducks' minor league affiliate in Toronto.

The Ducks hoped for a scoring boost from Calder when they signed the nine-year NHL veteran to a one-year contract in late October, but he hasn't scored a goal in 14 games with Anaheim, managing just two assists.

Calder scored 27 points for the Los Angeles Kings last year.

Anaheim recalled right wing Troy Bodie from the AHL on Monday to replace him.
