Did Crosby jab Philly fans with Halloween costume?

Updated Mar. 4, 2020 12:28 p.m. ET

All Hallows' Eve is still more than a week away, but the Pittsburgh Penguins kicked off the festivities early.

Evgeni Malkin uploaded photos from the Penguins' annual Halloween party Sunday night. In case Philadelphia Flyers fans didn't have enough reasons to hate him, Sidney Crosby decided to go as the city's beloved character, Rocky Balboa.

Perhaps Crosby was trying to send a message, as the Penguins are set to take on the Flyers on national television Wednesday night.

Malkin chose to go the more traditional route and dressed as a vampire, for the second straight year.

The Mad Hatter (Kris Letang) and KISS also made an appearance at the party.
