Coyotes sign Plachta to 1-year deal out of Germany

GLENDALE, Ariz. (AP) The Arizona Coyotes have signed German forward Matthias Plachta to a one-year entry-level contract Thursday.
The 24-year-old Plachta had 14 goals and 21 assists in 47 games this season with Adler Mannheim of the Deutsche Eishockey Liga.
A native of Freiburg, he also had five goals and four assists in 15 postseason games.
Plachta scored two goals for Germany in the World Championships in the Czech Republic.
