The Phoenix Coyotes have signed defenseman Mathieu Brodeur, one of their third-round draft picks in 2008.

The entry-level deal was announced by the team Friday. Coyotes general manager Don Maloney says the 19-year-old Brodeur will report to San Antonio of the AHL.

Brodeur had four goals and 25 assists in 65 games this season for Cape Breton of the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League.
