Coyotes acquire defenseman Morris from Bruins

The Phoenix Coyotes on Wednesday acquired defenseman Derek Morris from the Boston Bruins in exchange for a conditional pick in the 2011 NHL entry draft.

Morris has three goals, 22 assists and 26 penalty minutes in 58 games for the Bruins this season. Morris finished the 2008-09 season with five goals, 15 assists and 40 penalty minutes in 75 games for the Coyotes and the New York Rangers.

The Coyotes had traded Morris to the Rangers last March.
