Chicago Blackhawks Morning Links- Don't Call This A Comeback
Good morning Chicago Blackhawks fans! If you turned the Blackhawks game off after two periods, you sure missed a pretty good comeback and oh by the way the Hawks 13th win on the season.
The Chicago Blackhawks looked to be skating towards another loss on the circus trip without much going on and nothing going in after two periods last night in Vancouver. So if you did turn the TV off after watching the Winnipeg game the other night no one could blame you, but you did miss a great comeback.
The comeback started with a patented Patrick Kane pass to a Artemi Panarin one-timer that he didn’t miss. The amazing part of that play is that the puck was able to go cross the ice twice before it found the back of the net.
Then the Vincent Hinostroza period began. Hinostroza took the puck from the blue line made a nifty move and then banged in his own rebound to cut the Vancouver lead 3-2. Hinostroza looked liked he belonged on the ice last night that’s for sure.
Late in the third with the Hawks still trailing, Hinostroza picked up the puck and looked to be on a 2 on 1 but lost control of the puck for a second, but he didn’t get rattled instead found Ryan Hartman skating down the middle of the ice and he buried the game tying goal.
The overtime looked to be over early when Jonathan Toews scored but after it got waved off, then a pretty exciting overtime broke out until Marian Hossa scored on what looked like a pretty harmless shot. What a fantastic comeback for the Hawks that now have a 13-4-2 record.
