Charges coming in Vancouver riots

Hundreds of people are expected to be charged over their involvement in the Vancouver riots that followed the NHL's Stanley Cup decider on June 15, police said Wednesday.
Vancouver police chief Jim Chu said officers were examining thousands of tips and reviewing more than 15,000 images from the shocking street violence after the Canucks' Game 7 loss to the Boston Bruins.
Close to 100 people were arrested and at least four seriously injured.
Thirty-seven people have since turned themselves in, the Vancouver Sun reported, but police were refraining from charging them until they had reviewed all the evidence.
There were at least 202 "recorded incidents" involving anywhere between one and 300 people, Chu said, adding that he expected "several hundred people" to be charged for offenses ranging from participating in a riot to assault, assaulting a police officer, theft, robbery, arson, possession of weapons and possession of stolen property.
