Canucks' Henrik Sedin gives stick to young fan struck by puck
A rough night for a young Canucks fan was made a little better thanks to Vancouver center Henrik Sedin.
The fan -- sporting a Canucks jersey during a match with the Oilers in Edmonton -- was struck by a puck late in the second period, and appeared to be bleeding as he was escorted from the arena to be treated.
Canucks players took notice of the fan's injury, and Sedin stepped up to pass a game-used stick to a nearby security guard.
Check it out in this video, where you can see the security guard on the stairs, waiting to hand the stick to the fan:
The fan -- identified on the Sportsnet broadcast as "Daniel" and whose favorite player happens to be Sedin -- is expected to be fine, and he goes home with one cool story to tell.
Not only did Henrik Sedin give his stick to a young #Canucks fan who was hit by a puck, he just autographed it. pic.twitter.com/auMU2JcnRM
