Canadiens bring back F Lapierre

The Montreal Canadiens are bringing back Maxim Lapierre.
The 25-year-old forward signed a $900,000, one-year deal with the team on Tuesday.
Lapierre has spent most of the last four seasons with Montreal, which selected him in the second round of the 2003 draft.
He had seven goals and 14 points in 76 games last season.

In 255 career NHL games, all with the Canadiens, Lapierre has 35 goals and 72 points.
Also Tuesday, the Canadiens announced that defenseman Mathieu Carle and forward J.T. Wyman had agreed to one-year, two way contracts.
