Calvert, Dano lead Blue Jackets past Hurricanes

COLUMBUS, Ohio (AP) Matt Calvert had two goals and an assist and rookie Marko Dano also scored twice in the third period in the Columbus Blue Jackets' 6-3 exhibition victory over the Carolina Hurricanes on Wednesday night.

Michael Chaput and Artem Anisimov added goals for the Blue Jackets (6-1-0) and Sergei Bobrovsky made 23 saves.

Rookie Victor Rask had two goals and an assist for Carolina (1-4-1), and Michal Jordan had a goal and an assist. Anton Khudobin stopped 26 shots.

Blue Jackets second-year forward Boone Jenner had surgery Wednesday to repair a broken left hand that could sideline him five weeks. He was injured Sunday in practice.
