Bruins trade defenseman Hamilton to Flames for 3 draft picks

BOSTON (AP) The Boston Bruins have traded defenseman Dougie Hamilton to the Calgary Flames for three draft picks, including the 15th in the first round.

Boston also picked up the 45th and 52nd overall picks in the deal.

Hamilton was the No. 9 selection in the 2011 draft. He appeared in 178 games for the Bruins, scoring 22 goals with 61 assists.

The 22-year-old Toronto native is a restricted free agent.
