Bruins center Krejci placed on injured reserve ahead of start to season
The Bruins placed first-line center David Krejci on injured reserve Tuesday.
According to the NHL's collective bargaining agreement, Krejci will miss a minimum of seven days, but it will be retroactive to Oct. 4, the day the injury was suffered.
Krejci missed practice on Tuesday after leaving Saturday night's preseason game against the Detroit Red Wings in the second period following a collision with the boards. It's an undisclosed injury.
Boston announced seven other roster moves: forwards Jordan Caron and David Pastrnak were assigned to the Providence Bruins, goaltender Malcolm Subban and forward Brian Ferlin were recalled from Providence, forward Marc Savard was placed on long-term injured reserve, and forwards Gregory Campbell and Anthony Camara were placed on non-roster injured reserve.
The Bruins roster now stands at 23 players.
