Patrice Bergeron had two goals and newcomer Nathan Horton scored on his first shot, leading the Boston Bruins to a 4-2 victory over the Montreal Canadiens on Wednesday night in the exhibition opener for both teams.

Tyler Seguin, the No. 2 pick overall in the 2010 draft, also made his Boston debut. He assisted on Johnny Boychuk's power-play goal 13:32 in.

Tuukka Rask stopped 36 shots.

Maxim Lapierre and Tomas Plekanec scored for Montreal, which fell behind 4-0 early in the second.

Montreal goalie Carey Price made five saves before he was replaced midway through the game. Curtis Sanford stopped seven shots in relief.

Price fanned on Horton's wrist shot from the right side 1:33 in, and was beaten on three of the Bruins' first five shots, including Bergeron's first goal of the game at 15:20.

Bergeron deked Price once again to score a short-handed goal on a breakaway 2:17 into the second.
