Brian Boyle back in Rangers' lineup

Published Apr. 30, 2012 1:00 a.m. ET

Rangers forward Brian Boyle is back in the New York lineup after missing three games because of a concussion sustained in the first round against Ottawa.

After skating for four consecutive days - including Monday for the morning skate - Boyle was deemed fit to return that night for Game 2 of the Eastern Conference semifinal series with the Washington Capitals.

The 6-foot-7 Boyle, who scored a goal in each of the first three games of the opening round, has been out since a hard hit to the head from Ottawa's Chris Neil in Game 5 on April 21 left him with the first concussion of his career.

The Rangers were 3-0 without Boyle.

With Boyle back in the lineup, defenseman Steve Eminger was scratched after he played briefly as a forward on Saturday in New York's 3-1 win over Washington in the series opener. However, forward Brandon Dubinsky sat out his second straight game because of a leg injury.

The Capitals made one lineup change, reinserting defenseman Jeff Schultz for John Erskine, who played in Game 1.
