Blackhawks G Crawford expected to miss 2-3 weeks with foot injury

Blackhawks goaltender Corey Crawford hurt his left foot when he missed a step while leaving a recent concert and is expected to be sidelined two to three weeks.

Crawford says he is ''pretty embarrassed about it, frustrated.'' He says he won't talk about the details and is focused on returning quickly.

Antti Raanta replaced Crawford in goal for Wednesday night's game against St. Louis, and the Blackhawks recalled Scott Darling from the minors on Tuesday. It was Raanta's first start since Oct. 25 at St. Louis.

Crawford was off to a strong start before the injury. He is 12-5-1 with a 1.87 goals-against average and a .929 save percentage.

Crawford had made 14 consecutive starts. He made 19 saves in Saturday's 4-1 victory at Los Angeles in the finale of a 5-1 road trip.
