Updated Mar. 4, 2020 12:30 p.m. ET

CHICAGO (AP) The Chicago Blackhawks have activated forward Marcus Kruger from injured reserve.

Kruger had surgery to repair a dislocated left wrist on Dec. 18. He has just one assist and 20 penalty minutes in 33 games this season, but is a key part of Chicago's penalty-kill unit.

The Blackhawks announced the move Friday. They visit Calgary on Saturday night.
