Former Montreal Canadiens star Jean Beliveau remained in the hospital Wednesday, two days after suffering a stroke.

Team spokesman Donald Beauchamp said there was no new information on the 80-year-old Hall of Famer's condition. The family has requested privacy.

The center who won 10 Stanley Cups with the Canadiens, suffered the stroke Monday evening. The Canadiens said Beliveau was being examined and undergoing treatment.
