ST. LOUIS (AP) St. Louis Blues captain David Backes has returned from an upper-body injury for Game 5 of the first-round playoff series against the Chicago Blackhawks.

Brent Seabrook served the final game of a three-game suspension Friday night for his illegal hit on Backes in Game 2.

Backes was not on the ice for the morning skate, but coach Ken Hitchcock noted that the Scottrade Center wasn't the only rink in town.

Backes opened on the Blues' first line with T.J. Oshie and Jaden Schwartz. Derek Roy was a healthy scratch for the second time in the series, tied at two games apiece.
