Abdelkader scores late to lift Red Wings past Jets

DETROIT (AP) Justin Abdelkader scored the tiebreaking goal late in the third period to lift the Detroit Red Wings to a 3-2 victory over the Winnipeg Jets on Thursday night.

Dylan Larkin and Jonathan Ericsson also scored and Petr Mrazek stopped 23 shots to help the Red Wings snap a three-game losing streak.

Marko Dano and Tyler Myers scored for Winnipeg and Michael Hutchinson finished with 32 saves.

On the go-ahead score, Tomas Tatar intercepted Myers' pass behind the net and passed to Abdelkader in the slot, who shot the puck top shelf for his 17th of the season with 4:36 remaining.
