Video: Boston Celtics' Evan Turner auditions to fill in for Tom Brady

New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady is currently awaiting a decision on the appeal of his four game suspension for his alleged role in deflategate. As he does, the Patriots are making sure they have a backup plan in case Brady's suspension is upheld. If it is upheld, it would appear that newly signed Matt Flynn and second year quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo will battle for the starting spot.

However, the Patriots may have one more candidate to consider in Boston Celtics guard Evan Turner. Turner posted a couple of Instagram videos over the weekend of him throwing to a couple of people in a yard.

The setting that he was throwing doesn't exactly translate to the NFL but the throw wasn't all that bad. While the Patriots and their fans appreciate the offer, I think they would rather have Brady, Flynn or Garoppolo under center.
