Tom Brady describes his relationship with Donald Trump

Published Nov. 15, 2016 1:54 p.m. ET

Tom Brady walked out of a press conference last week when a reporter asked him about "Donald Trump's version of 'locker room' talk," but in his weekly radio interview on WEEI's Kirk and Callahan Show, Brady explained why he wouldn't address the question about Trump, and opened up on his lengthy relationship with the presidential candidate.

Brady said he avoided making a statement on Trump's controversial remarks because he didn't want to be a distraction to the team leading up to game day.

Via WEEI:

Brady, who once had "Make America Great Again" hat sitting in his locker, said that he's known Trump for more than a decade.
