Titans' Orakpo: 'I feel 100 percent'
After being limited during the team's offseason program, new Tennessee Titans outside linebacker Brian Orakpo says he's healthy and ready for the start of training camp.
Orakpo signed a four-year, $32-million deal as a free agent in March after spending six seasons with the Washington Redskins. He played in just seven games last year before suffering a torn pectoral muscle.
"I feel great. I’ll be ready to rock and roll as soon as we open camp,” Orakpo said, via the Tennessean. “Body-wise, I feel 100 percent. The pec and everything else feels real good. We kind of played it safe in OTAs and minicamp for precaution, but now we can kind of unleash everything.”
The 28-year-old, who recorded 10 sacks in 2013, said he's looking forward to seeing what he can do in Dick LeBeau's defense.
“I’m excited,” he said. “I worked extremely hard this offseason to get to this point and I can’t wait to get better with a new team, a new era, everything about it. It’s fresh. I’m ready to start this new chapter."
The Titans report to camp on Thursday and begin practice on Friday.
