Seahawks vs Dolphins, random thoughts....
The Seattle Seahawks face the Miami Dolphins Sunday at CenturyLink Field in Seattle in the NFL regular season opener for both teams.
Some of the things bouncing around my head today as the Seahawks get set to open the season against the Dolphins:
How much will Jimmy Graham play, and when he catches his first pass and takes his first hit, how violently will I cringe?…..is Christine Michael as good as everyone seems to think he is now, or still just as mediocre as I’ve always believed….and who will be the first Seahawk running back to fumble? Both Michael and Alex Collins have had ball security issues in the past.
I wonder if Cassius Marsh is ready for a breakout year…….
It’s possible that Adam Gase’s offense is the perfect fit for Ryan Tannehill, and he may be a LOT better tomorrow than people are expecting.
The Dolphin running backs don’t scare me….and with Jarran Reed healthy, I think the Seahawks control Miami’s running game.
I hope Darrell Bevell has a good enough plan in place to use all the weapons and toys at his disposal; Tyler Lockett, Doug Baldwin, Graham, CJ Prosise, Thomas Rawls, Paul Richardson….
I think the offensive line will look less terrible than people fear…
“Less terrible” is a horrible backhanded compliment…
How will the secondary shake out…is Jeremy Lane the primary slot corner? I don’t like our lack of depth at CB…. and are we vulnerable in Bruce Irvin’s old OLB spot?
Frank Clark had a quiet preseason, but will make an impact tomorrow…
You can’t underscore the importance of this game enough… winning it is paramount… getting off to a good start is crucial… the Seahawks don’t want to be 0-1 with a home-opening loss going down to face their road nemesis the Rams next week.
I love what the team decided to do during the anthem tomorrow, and I’m laughing at everyone who anticipated it would be something offensive to anyone…
I can’t go to the game tomorrow, in fact I have to work during it for the first time in three seasons…
If you only take away one point from this piece, it should be that last one!
I’ll be wearing my home Baldwin jersey at work.
Seahawks win it by two scores, but not before having some nerve-rattling and ugly moments in the first half.
