Rex Ryan believes LeSean McCoy will play Thursday, unsure of role

In addition to wearing a Clemson helmet and taking jabs at Jets safety Calvin Pryor during his press conference, Rex Ryan did talk about the Bills and provide an update on LeSean McCoy's status.

McCoy left Sunday's game in the fourth quarter with a shoulder injury and did not return, but after the win, he said he'll be fine. Ryan offered similar optimism, but wasn't as quick to say he's "fine."

"I believe LeSean McCoy will play [on Thursday]," Ryan said. "How significant his role will be, I'm not sure."

Having McCoy in a limited role is nothing new to the Bills. He began the season less than 100-percent healthy due to a strained hamstring. He's seemingly moved past the lingering hamstring issue but this shoulder injury could potentially have an impact on his availability this week.

If McCoy is unable to play, or finds himself in a limited role, rookie Karlos Williams will likely see more touches. Williams has scored a touchdown in each of the games he's played in this year and racked up 110 yards on just nine carries against the Miami Dolphins.

The Bills would love to have McCoy completely healthy but Williams is a very capable backup.
