Reid updates on injured Chiefs players, missing Sean Smith

Kansas City needed a new No. 1 cornerback at their last minicamp practice.

Marcus Cooper and first-round rookie Marcus Peters split reps originally reserved for Sean Smith, according to Arrowhead Pride. Head coach Andy Reid said Smith was excused for "personal reasons."

Meanwhile, three Chiefs continued to sit out as minicamp closed up. Reid hinted at the possibility of starting QB Tyler Bray, TE Demetrius Harris, and RB Cyrus Gray on the physically unable to perform list, but said general manager John Dorsey would ultimately decide matters.

Albert Wilson, a fourth injured Chief, stuck to his routine of strictly team warm-ups. The No. 2 receiver did not practice with the team.
