Pete Carroll says Deflategate investigation 'didn't affect anything'

Seattle Seahawks head coach Pete Carroll was on the losing end of one of the closest Super Bowls of all time.

Now that the Patriots have been punished by the league, it is natural to wonder whether Carroll holds any animosity towards the Patriots or the NFL. He touched on the subject briefly while talking to reporters at his USC Hall of Fame induction ceremony over the weekend.

"No. No it didn't affect anything," Carroll said. "I think this was an opportunity for the league to step up and do the right thing. Nobody wants to play this game thinking that somebody has some kind of an advantage, players and fans alike, and so they did the right thing in following up on it, but you know, it was game time, it was ... it didn't have anything to do with that."

Carroll says all the right things, but one has to wonder if he wish the league took action before the Super Bowl.
