Forget Spygate and Deflategate -- we may now have “Tabletgate” on our hands.

During the second quarter of the AFC Championship Game on Sunday in Denver, CBS mentioned on the telecast that the New England Patriots were having trouble with their tablets on the sidelines. Meanwhile, the Broncos’ tablets were working.

Tablets can be used to view still images from the game, which helps players learn more about what sorts of schemes and techniques their opponents are using. It’s a very helpful tool for in-game preparation.

CBS reporter Tracy Wolfson said the Broncos’ tablets were working the whole time. NFL officials reportedly said Denver did not have to shut their tablets down just to compensate for New England’s not working.

In a sense, the Broncos may have had a Microsoft tablet advantage during the AFC Championship Game. Of course, many will feel that just makes up for years of the Patriots supposedly manipulating communication devices at Gillette Stadium.
