Julio Jones to Falcons teammates: 'You can lean on me'
There's no ignoring the struggles of the Atlanta Falcons during their recent 1-5 stretch. The brutal run which has seen them go from NFC South contender to fighting to try to earn the final Wild Card spot, has featured many issues that need to be fixed.
Fortunately, Atlanta's superstar wide receiver, Julio Jones, sounds like a man willing to do whatever it takes to turn it around, even putting the team on his back.
According to Mark Inabinett of AL.com, Jones wants his team to know that they can lean on him.
"The season is not going the way we want it to go right now," Jones told AL.com, "and guys are trying to see if guys are going to give up or who they need to lean on, and I'm that guy. You can lean on me. You can watch me every day. I'm coming to work. If they need me to do more, I'll try my best to do more.''
It's obvious that Jones has stepped up as a leader for the Falcons, and the team is badly going to need him moving forward in 2015.
