Jameis Winston won't stop using social media during NFL career

While Jameis Winston had a bit of a hiccup after being drafted by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers when he posted a photo on his Instagram of himself eating crab legs, the rookie quarterback has no plans of giving up social media during his NFL career. It was all in good fun for Winston obviously, but the Bucs reportedly got Winston to take the photo down.
Just a few months after that, the newest quarterback in Tampa was asked about social media and had quite a bit to say about it according to Pat McManamon of ESPN.
"Social media can help you in so many ways from a positive standpoint," Winston told ESPN during the Play 60 youth clinic at the Cleveland Browns facility. "I can't control what people put on social media about me, but I can control my actions and what I do."
It's really not a huge deal as long as Winston doesn't start getting into it with fans or anything through social media (which seems unlikely). He also made sure to make it known that his focus isn't on what others are saying about him on social media.
"I really don't pay attention to social media other than what I do," Winston said. "I don't look up myself or anything like that. When I'm socially active, it's because I'm doing something, and I don't really pay attention to that -- outside sources."
Obviously some players have had issues with social media and their decisions on what they post, but aside the crab legs picture, there hasn't been much worth noting about Winston on any of the multiple networks.
