Another problem with his hamstring kept Jacksonville Jaguars wide receiver Marqise Lee from playing in the second half of the team's 51-17 loss to the New England Patriots on Sunday, but Lee said after the game he would have played if it were up to him.

Lee caught one pass for 12 yards before exiting the game early in the second quarter with hamstring soreness.

“Going into that second quarter it got a little sore,” Lee said, per ESPN's Mike DiRocco. “Nothing crazy but if I knew they would have pulled me, I probably would have kept it to myself.”

The second-year receiver said Jacksonville's trainers opted to hold him out with an eye towards the team's Week 4 matchup with the Indianapolis Colts next Sunday.

"They took me out for precautionary [reasons],” Lee said. “They didn’t want me to continue. If it was my choice I would have still been out there.”

A second-round pick in 2014, Lee sat out all of training camp and the team's season-opening loss to the Carolina Panthers with a hamstring strain. He also missed OTAs and minicamp with a sprained left knee.

Lee played 22 snaps in Jacksonville's win last week against the Miami Dolphins.
