Jacksonville Jaguars rookie safety James Sample suffered a fractured right arm during the team's OTA on Thursday. News of the injury was reported by the Florida Times-Union.

Sample reportedly underwent surgery on Friday and is expected to return to action some time during training camp.

The Jaguars selected Sample in the fourth round of draft this year out of the University of Louisville.  The 6-foot-2, 190-pound Sample led the Cardinals with 90 tackles last season. He also had four interceptions and had eight pass breakups in 2014.
