Trying to turn the season around, the Carolina Panthers will attempt to keep their momentum minus a few key starters…

Last week the Carolina Panthers dominated an Arizona team at home following their bye. The Panthers were as healthy as they had been since the season opener and it showed on both sides of the football. Expecting a big turnaround and hoping to keep their newfound momentum in Los Angeles, Carolina enters the game with some key starters out and a few expected to be game time decisions.

Rookie cornerback James Bradberry was a full participant for practice late in the week and is expected to return after missing three games with a turf toe injury. However, a consistent starting duo on the outside may remain in flux with injuries elsewhere in the secondary.

OUT:

DT – Vernon Butler, T – Michael Oher, LB – Shaq Thompson

Offensive tackle Michael Oher will miss his fifth straight game on Sunday. After entering the concussion protocol over a month ago, Oher did make an appearance at practice this week.

After suffering a setback at practice last week, Butler has not participated this week and will miss his fifth game as well.

Linebacker Shaq Thompson was injured during the game last week in the first half and did not return. He has failed to practice any this week and will miss the game Sunday.

QUESTIONABLE:

DE – Mario Addison, C – Ryan Kalil, LB – Luke Kuechly, CB – Daryl Worley

Defensive end Mario Addison is questionable with a knee injury and expected to be a game time decision. Likewise, center Ryan Kalil’s playing status will not be known until closer to kickoff. Kalil played college football at USC and would hate to miss an opportunity to play again in his collegiate stadium.

Luke Kuechly is expected to play, but is nursing a groin injury of his own. With fellow linebacker Thompson already sidelined, Kuechly’s leadership will be crucial to both the defense and linebackers. Expect the veteran A.J. Klein, who filled in for Kuechly last season, to take Thompson’s place on the outside.

Finally, cornerback Daryl Worley finds himself with a questionable tag for the second straight week. Worley played last week and was a limited practice participant on Friday. He should be well enough to play on Sunday in Los Angeles.
