Greg Olsen Ridiculously Open On 78-Yard Score (Video)

Greg Olsen is one of the best tight ends in the NFL, but it looks like the San Francisco 49ers forgot just how good the Carolina Panthers best pass-catcher can be.
Up 10-7 on the Carolina Panthers, the San Francisco 49ers were baffling viewers by giving the reigning NFC champions such a hard time. Sure, they blanketed the Los Angeles Rams 28-0 on Monday Night Football in Week 1, but that had a lot more to do with how inept Case Keenum and the Rams offense looked.
Well, the Panthers are restoring order, and it only takes one play to change the momentum of a game. The 49ers somehow let Greg Olsen get loose, and Cam Newton hit him with ease for a 78-yard touchdown that gives the Panthers a 14-10 lead.

On literally just one play, Olsen has paid out his fantasy owners nearly 14 points, but I doubt he’s done just yet. It looked like the safety inexplicably forgot to cover Olsen, but by the time he realized his mistake, Olsen was as good as gone.
He may be a tight end, but the man isn’t slow, which is why he averaged a robust 14.3 yards per reception in the 2015 season.
After catching seven passes for 73 yards in Week 1, Olsen has surpassed his yardage total on just one play, and it will be interesting to see if the 49ers gift him with more opportunities to score and pile on yardage.
In case you were wondering, Panthers superstar QB Cam Newton has completed six of nine passes for 126 yards, one touchdown, and one interception.
