Former UCLA coach claims Harbaugh 'Jim Schwartzed' him first

University of Michigan head coach Jim Harbaugh has made plenty of enemies at both the college and professional levels, although no conflict involving the former San Francisco 49ers head coach is cited as often as his post-game showdown with Jim Schwartz in 2011.

After Harbaugh's 49ers beat Schwartz's Detroit Lions in a hard-fought, 25-19 battle, the two coaches met in the middle of the field for a routine handshake. Pandemonium ensued, as NFL fans were treated to one of the wackiest controversies of the 21st century.

Recently, on "The Dan Patrick Show," former UCLA head coach Rick Neuheisel described a similar scene, according to Steve Schrader of the Detroit Free Press.

The Harbaugh-Neuheisel incident took place in 2009, when Harbaugh was the coach at Stanford. The year before, Neuheisel's Bruins beat Stanford, 23-20. When Stanford took the rematch, 24-16, Neuheisel claims Harbaugh rubbed it in his face.

"And you have that moment, right, where you're like, 'Did that just happen? I'm goin' after him!' And then you're like, 'No, calm down.' And your hands are, like, shaking," Neuheisel said, per the Detroit Free Press.

A couple years later, Neuheisel saw a nearly identical event play out between Harbaugh and Schwartz on national television. Now, he has an easy was to describe what happened to him.

"He Jim Schwartzed me!"
