Eagles QB Sam Bradford excited for regular season action
A double shot of optimism was enjoyed by Philadelphia Eagles fans nationwide after watching Sam Bradford take the field for the Eagles' third preseason game. Three touchdown passes on three drives will do that. With the first week of the regular season looming, Bradford can't wait to get out there for games that count.
"It's nothing but excitement for me," Bradford said Tuesday, per the Philadelphia Daily Inquirer. "I've been excited this whole preseason. Excited just to get back on the field. I was excited for Baltimore and I was even more excited to be out there for Green Bay for three series. I'm just looking forward to it, to be honest."
Bradford is equally as excited about getting back to live game action with his current roster. With talent throughout the offense along the line and at the skill positions, Bradford feels like he could repeat the success he had during his Heisman-winning 2008 season at Oklahoma.
"It's really comforting as a quarterback when you look out there and all five of your receiving options are really good players and have the ability to turn a 5- or 6-yard completion into a 60-yard touchdown."
When you consider the offensive line and roster depth at wide receiver, tight end and running back, you can make a case that Bradford enters 2015 with the best supporting cast in the NFL.
