The Indianapolis Colts have waived cornerback Chris Rucker and receiver Quan Cosby.

Rucker was Indy's sixth-round draft choice in 2011. Cosby spent his first three NFL seasons with the Bengals and Denver and was claimed by the Colts off waivers late last season.

The moves Sunday came just hours after Indianapolis traded two 2013 draft picks to Miami for veteran cornerback Vontae Davis.

With the addition of Davis and the release of 11 players, Indy has trimmed its roster to 80. It must get down to the NFL-mandated 75 by Monday afternoon's deadline.

The other players released by Indianapolis were cornerbacks Cameron Chism, Antonio Fenelus and Terrence Johnson; safeties Matt Merletti and David Caldwell; linebacker Mike Balogun; running back Alvester Alexander; offensive guard Jason Foster and punter Brian Stahovich.
