Colts sign DT Jeris Pendleton

Published Jun. 30, 2015 3:42 p.m. ET

The Indianapolis Colts re-signed veteran defensive tackle Jeris Pendleton, the team announced Tuesday. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Pendleton spent the last two seasons with the Colts. He missed the entire 2014 season after being placed on injured reserve last August. The 6-foot-2, 323-pound Pendleton spent time on both practice squad and the active roster in 2013, appearing in one regular season and two playoff games.

Originally selected by the Jacksonville Jaguars in the seventh round of the 2012 draft out of Ashland University, Pendleton appeared in four games as rookie before being released by the Jaguars in May 2013. The 31-year-old, who worked for a number years before pursuing his dream to play football in college, spent training camp with the Dallas Cowboys in 2013 before joining the Colts practice squad in December of that year.
