The latest Indianapolis Colts at Denver Broncos odds, trends, and other information ahead of their 2016 NFL Week 2 matchup.

The Indianapolis Colts and Denver Broncos have developed a nice little rivalry over the past few years, meeting in both the regular season and the playoffs. The contests have been a bit one-sided, as the Colts have won eight of the last nine matchups. Those games include two playoff battles, both of which were won by the Colts.

Denver welcomes Indy to town on Sunday, after defeating the Carolina Panthers on Thursday Night Football in Week 1. Playing with a quarterback making his first NFL start, the Broncos reeled off 14 points in the fourth quarter, defeating the Panthers 21-20. The Broncos defense showed why they are arguably the best in the league, holding Panthers quarterback Cam Newton in check for the second time in seven months.

The Colts head to Denver fresh off a tough loss to the Detroit Lions in their season opener, though Andrew Luck looked to be fully healthy after missing time last year due to injury. Luck shredded the Lions for four touchdown passes, while passing for nearly 400 yards. The Broncos defense will present a much harder test for Luck and company on Sunday, so it will be interesting to see how the offense produces.

Odds

Line: DEN (-6)
Over/Under: 44

As far as trends go, the Colts and Broncos have gone over in nine of their last 11 contests. Denver has played to the under in four of their last six games overall, though this one should go over. The over/under is listed at 44 points, which is not a big number for a game that features Andrew Luck. Trevor Siemian proved he can move the ball during his first start for the Broncos, so points should come easy against a weak Indianapolis defense.

Being a six-point or less underdog, the Colts have covered the spread in five consecutive games. In their last eight games as an underdog of any point spread, the Colts have covered six times. Six points is a pretty big number in the NFL, and Indy has the right guy under center to keep it close.

Take the Colts and the Over on Sunday.
