Clemson OT Isaiah Battle's pro day attracts New York Jets

The New York Jets might not be done adding players to the roster before they start training camp July 29 as the NFL Supplemental Draft is set to take place on Thursday. The name drawing a lot of buzz in the draft is Clemson offensive tackle Isaiah Battle. Battle is a very interesting prospect as he stands at 6-foot-7 and 290 pounds.
As Battle worked out for his pro day on Tuesday, the Jets and 25 other teams attended the workout at Clemson University. Based on the interest alone, it appears that Battle has a good chance of being the first player drafted in the draft since Josh Gordon was taken by the Cleveland Browns in the 2012 supplemental draft.
While the Jets have interest in Battle, it is tough to imagine them actually selecting Battle at any point in the supplemental draft. First, the Jets don't have an immediate need at offensive tackle with D'Brickashaw Ferguson locking down the left tackle spot and Breno Giacomini holding down the right side. Furthermore, Battle does have a few off the field problems such as he served a suspension in 2013 after punching a player and 2014 for disciplinary reasons. He was also pulled over for speeding in early June and caught with marijuana.
